I thought it is in a hydrogel form but I was wrong. It is in a cotton mask but heyyy it's not bad. No dripping and no slipping either. It stays in place although I move around. For brightening..I think it is too early to tell. Maybe need to use more to see the result. Overall, it helps in giving hydration around my eyes
